Generative Artificial Intelligence in Business

San Francisco-based startup, Writer, recently unveiled an innovative feature of its Palmyra model that breaks new ground for the use of AI in enterprises. Palmyra-Vision is the ability to generate text from images, including charts and graphs.

Founder and CEO, Mai Habib, explained that the decision to build this feature was part of a strategy to focus on multimodal content. Palmyra-Vision uses a multi-modal approach to accurately analyze images and generate text based on their content.

This innovation provides a number of practical applications. For example, it can be used to populate e-commerce sites with new products without having to manually update content. Palmyra-Vision can also help in automatically interpreting data from charts and graphs, which is useful for many industries, including medical and pharmaceuticals.

However, Habib emphasizes that the use of such tools requires human analysis to avoid errors or mistakes. Therefore, it is important for companies to utilize GIIs in conjunction with human expert opinion.

With the latest investment round and partnership talks with major cloud infrastructure platforms, Writer is looking to scale their business and become a key player in GII in business. According to Crunchbase they have already managed to raise $126 million.

The new version of Palmyra is already available for use, offering users an innovative approach to analyzing and creating image-based content. Palmyra-Vision example for pharma company checking ad against a document with FDA requirements.
